We are a group of students from the University of the Western Cape currently enrolled for the Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Hons). As part of our Project Management module, we are tasked with identifying a need within a comunity and then study, initiate and execute a project that will improve the identified need.

We have identified a home in Khayelitsha for children infected and affected by the HIV/AIDS virus and adults who are disabled and physically impaired. The home generally caters for individuals who are neglected or abandoned by all living relatives. A group of Roman Catholic sisters, called the “Sisters of Charity” manage the home. Their sole funding and resources are derived from donations from the local surrounding community, private individuals and companies.
